The Foundation
Council decides the rules and the regulations of the
institution. It is furthermore in charge
of ; the election of the members and the definition of the competences of the
scientific Council, the nomination and the control of the directors' activities,
the approval of the activity report, the work program, the accounts and the
annual budget.The council is composed of seven members; it gathers representatives from
its three founder members:

Mrs. Valerie Garbani, member of the community council, in charge of the urbanization and cultural affairs
Mr. Jean-Paul Haenni, assistant curator at the Natural History Museum

Dr. Lise Gern, research director at the eco-epidemiological laboratory
Professor Ola Söderström, professor at the Institute of geography
For Swiss
Pro Natura:
Dr. Urs Tester, responsible for the protection of species at Pro Natura
Dr. Peter Duelli, senior scientist at the WSL .
