The CSCF benefits
from the support of several significant partners:
The Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN), by the means of its species management
division in particular, has recognized the CSCF as the National Centre of Coordination
for fauna in 1990.
Since then, it is this
centre which supplies the entire of its operational budget. Its relations with the CSCF are very close on
the level of the exchange of data, competences, the definition and the
follow-up of significant projects.
The city of Neuchâtel is member of
the CSCF Foundation since 1985. The city
by the means of the Department of Cultural Affairs officially committed itself to
providing it the working space of its headquarters. The offices of the CSCF are therefore located
at the Neuchâtel Natural History Museum, with which it has from the very start
actively collaborated (enrichment of collections, and in particular the acquisition and even the management of
some of its data).
The University of Neuchâtel is a member of the CSCF Foundation
and supports its activity since 1985 by the means of its Data processing and
Telematic Department (SITEL).
It sheltered the
CSCF database since it was created and has since ensured its logistic,
scientific and technical support to its management and its development.
The privileged relations
which bind the CSCF to the University
of Neuchâtel were
ratified in 2001 by a convention and a service contract signed by the rector of
the University, the director of the SITEL and that of the CSCF.
Pro Natura
Switzerland took an active role in the emergence of the CSCF Foundation by initially
implying itself in the definition even of its status and objectives then by
launching various significant projects with its collaboration (for example the Atlas
of Odonates and Rhopaloceres of
Switzerland, 1985 - 1987). Pro Natura has since continued to financially
support the CSCF projects which correspond best to its own aims.
