One of the CSCF's principal objectives is to help the naturalists of Switzerland to produce and to publish the results of their work, whichever animal group is concerned, under the condition that the latter are either of national or regional importance.  It is thus associated with many projects for which it is not responsible and for whose direction it has only little influence.

The activities deployed by the naturalists concerned within the framework of these projects are not less essential for the evolution of chorologic, ecological and even systematic knowledge of many groups of Swiss fauna.
